Maximum Pressure Resistance Parameters Of Different Valve Materials

Jun 15, 2024

The relationship between valve temperature and pressure There is a certain internal relationship between valve operating temperature and pressure, and they influence each other. Among them, temperature is the dominant factor. A valve with a certain pressure is only suitable for a certain temperature range. Changes in valve temperature affect the operating pressure of the valve. For example, the nominal pressure of a carbon steel valve is PN100 when the working temperature of the medium is 200°C. When the medium working temperature is 400°C, its maximum working pressure is 5MPa; when the medium working humidity is 450°C, its maximum working pressure is 45MPa.

For enamel valves, the temperature resistance is limited by the material of the sealing ring, and the maximum operating humidity does not exceed 150°C.

The operating pressure of the valve is determined by the material used to make the valve.

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for gray cast iron valves is PN16;

The maximum nominal force allowed for malleable iron valves is PN25;

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for ductile iron valves is PN40

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for copper alloy valves is PN25

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for titanium alloy valves is PN25

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for carbon steel valves is PN320; ⑦ The maximum nominal pressure allowed for alloy steel valves is PN300;

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for stainless steel valves is PN320;

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for plastic valves is PN6;

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for ceramic, glass and enamel valves is PN6

The maximum nominal pressure allowed for FRP valves is PN16.
